Saint-Gobain Ceramic Materials' NorpolTM Polishing Slurry Concentrate is a unique composition of extremely small alpha alumina crystals and a mixture or rare earth minerals, resulting in a polishing slurry that will significantly reduce the cost of ownership in the manufacture of precision optics and other glass materials.

The Norpol synergistic polishing compound exhibits three main advantages over cerium oxide and other conventional glass polishing products.

  • the unique and patented polycrystalline alpha alumina particles can product polish rates up to two times that of conventional products in many applications.  The presence of our engineered rare earth additives provide the finish required by the precision optics industry
  • Norpol polishing slurry concentrate's high resistance to particle breakdown during use means significantly longer slurry life, as much as two to three times longer than CeO2.  In addition, operators will see a consistent polish rate from the first day of running to the last.
