Saint-Gobain Ceramic Materials has developed an aqueous slurry for nano zirconia in which the fundamental crystal size is approx. 180 nm. Nano Zirconia Polishing Slurry is intended for polishing of a variety of optical materials. The slurry is comprised of zirconium oxide particles (monoclinic and stabilized) in a fully dispersed aqueous system.
This concentrated nano-zirconia slurry is optimally dispersed in deionized water to allow the end user to introduce or modify the chemistry as needed for controlled performance. 
Our pure form of nano zirconia slurry should enhance the polishing performance as there are no chemicals to interfere with the polishing action. The slurry is resistant to shear, allowing a recycling mode to be employed, lengthening the life of your slurry and reducing your operational and consumables cost.
The slurry is engineered to easily mix in an aqueous solution such that once diluted, it will exhibit soft settling properties that eliminate the need for costly suspension systems. Zirconia Polishing Slurry is 99.5% pure and manufactured in our ISO-9002 certified facilities.
Applications
Recommended applications are any optics polishing operations which utilize pads on either single or double-sided polishing equipment. Our nano zirconia slurry is highly suitable for polishing:
