With a growing demand for compound semiconductor wafer substrates that are used in the fabrication of GaN-related devices, both optoelectronic and electronic, substrates such as Sapphire, SiC, GaN, GaAs and others, have increased in demand in alarming rates. 

 

The consumer market for computers, netbooks, notebooks, mobile devices, TVs, automobiles and other electronic gadgets have all created a need for high efficiency, high capacity, high intensity and high yielding end products (LED, laser diodes and power devices).  It goes without saying that substrate quality, cost, and availability can not be overestimated in the quest for affordable, available LED and devices.
